Essential storage
These make the site work and do not need your consent. None of them track you across other sites.
- wt-consent (local storage, until you clear it): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not ask on every page.
- Visitor country (session storage, this visit only): the country your request comes from, used to show the right contact options.
- Admin session (cookie): set only for the site owner when signing in to the editor. Visitors never receive it.
Optional analytics (only if you accept)
- Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk, CLID and related cookies, up to 1 year): heatmaps and session recordings that show where people click, scroll and get stuck. Text you type is masked. Provided by Microsoft.
- Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_*, up to 2 years): counts visits and shows which pages are useful. Provided by Google.
If you decline, neither script is loaded at all, so no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Microsoft or Google for analytics.
Embedded content
Some articles embed YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set tracking cookies until you press play. Once you play a video, YouTube's own cookie policy applies.
Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to accept or decline again. Withdrawing consent reloads the page so the analytics scripts stop immediately. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, which resets your choice.
